Microblading
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique used to create the illusion of fuller brows. With this method, we can create almost any look: from a very natural light finish to a beautifully bold brows.
How does it work?
First, we consult with you about the best brow shape for your face and choose a color that matches your natural eyebrow color and skin undertone. The brow area is then cleaned and numbed for the treatment. We use a small, handheld tool to manually draw hair strokes. Results can last anywhere from 1-3 years, depending on your skin type (the ink fades faster on oily skin), products, and lifestyle.

Micropigmentation

How does it work?
A cosmetic/medical tattooing machine is used to gently implant pigment into the skin using a variety of fine HD or Nano needles. It’s different from a regular tattoo machine in that the frequency is much lower, meaning the pigment is implanted closer to the surface.

Pre-Treatment Care
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, ibuprofen, aspirin and fish oil supplements for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment
- Avoid waxing, threading, or tweezing your eyebrows for 5 days prior
- Feel free to bring pictures of your ideal brow shape or colour to show your aesthetic goals to your technician
- Be prepared to lie still for a long period of time; some patients bring headphones to listen to music
- Do not sunbathe for 5 days before the procedure
Post-Treatment Care
- Avoid contact with water on your brows for 4 days – if they become wet, tap dry with a clean tissue
- Wash hands thoroughly before touching the treated area
- On day 2 (for micropigmentation) and on day 4 (for microblading), gently clean area with clean cotton soaked in lukewarm water
- Do not use makeup remover for cleaning your eyebrows
- Apply thin layer of aftercare cream with a q-tip, 2-3 times per day for 10 days
- Skin will start to flake and itch after 4-5 days; do not pick or scratch the area
- Avoid sweat-inducing exercise for 7 days
- Avoid sun and UV exposure, sauna, pool, and swimming for 10 days post-treatment, or until skin has fully healed
- Do not use cosmetics on the treatment area until the skin has fully healed
- Avoid chemical peels and products containing Retin-A, AHAs and BHAs, bleaching, eyebrow colouring, and eyebrow lamination until healing is complete
