Scalp Tricopigmentation

Hair loss can have a drastic impact on confidence and self-belief. With scalp tricopigmentation, you can bring back your lost hair luster and thickness – quickly and painlessly!

Tricopigmentation is a non-surgical treatment during which we inject microscopic deposits of pigment in the scalp tissue. This mimics the stimulation of natural hair bulbs, creating optical coverage. Due to the pigments used, the procedure is not only reversible and hypoallergenic, but biocompatible as well – helping you conceal bald or thinning areas of the scalp. As one of Dubai’s top aesthetic and dermatology clinics, Omnicare offers world-class scalp tricopigmentation.

The procedure can help attain a variety of effects, depending on your desired results.

  • Density effect reduces transparency and increases optical hair density.
  • Shaved effect replicates a full shaved look that lets you obtain full or partial scalp reconstruction and improves density.
  • Scar reconstruction allows you to conceal postoperative or post-traumatic scars.

Micropigmentation is a great option to help with;

  • Male and Female Pattern Hair Loss
  • Receding Hairlines
  • Crown Hair Loss
  • Repairing Failed Hair Transplant Treatments
  • Covering scars
  • Adding density to the hair
  • Alopecia conditions

How does Scalp Tricopigmentation works

Using a sterile needle, microscopic deposits of pigment are injected into the top layer of the skin of the scalp. This creates a look of denser, fuller hair. The overall longevity of the treatment depends on multiple factors, including an individual’s age, skin type, complexion and immune system, as well as other external factors such as exposure to the sun. Typically, the pigment starts to fade 6 to 18 months after the treatment, and may require further application. The shade of the pigment may last 2-3 years on the scalp, and reside in the dermal layer for even longer.

The treatment is suitable for men and women experiencing:

  • Hair loss but don’t have enough donor hair to be transplanted
  • Receding hairlines
  • Crown hair loss
  • Scarring on the scalp
  • Weakening and thinning hair

Pre-Treatment Care

  • Be sure to shower before each treatment, as you won’t be able to wash or wet your scalp for 4 days after your appointment
  • Get a haircut within 1-2 days prior to your appointment
  • Drink plenty of water to be well-hydrated during your session
  • Avoid taking medications that might thin the blood for 24 hours prior to your appointment

Post-Treatment Care

  • Avoid sweating heavily for 5 days following treatment; this includes intense exercise, saunas, etc.
  • Do not scrub the scalp for at least 4 days; scrubbing can break the skin and interrupt the healing process
  • Do not shampoo for at least 4 days; shampooing can introduce harsh chemicals that could interfere with healing
  • Avoid shaving the area while it’s healing
  • Avoid extended exposure to sunlight; sunlight and sunburn could lead to premature fading of pigmentation
  • Refrain from touching your scalp with your hands, as this could introduce bacteria and increase risk of infection
