Dr Samer Saour is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon specialising in Cosmetic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery (Lower Limb, Breast, Abdominal wall and Perineal reconstruction) with over 22 years of experience.
He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor in the Art of Obstetrics (MBBCh BAO) from the National University of Ireland in 2001. He later completed his Master’s degree in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair.
He completed a number of fellowships at renowned plastic surgery centers, including an Aesthetic Fellowship at The Wellington Hospital and a Microsurgical Fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He also became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Plastic Surgery in 2014. He was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training in Plastic Surgery and became registered as a Specialist in Plastic Surgery by the GMC in 2016.
Dr Saour has special interests in general and aesthetic surgery as well as lower limb, breast, abdominal and perineal microvascular reconstruction. He performs an expansive range of plastic and reconstructive procedures including face, brow and butt lifts, breast augmentations, body contouring and skin lesion removals alongside several other cosmetic and surgical procedures.
He is an author of a number of book chapters and has published and continues to publish extensively within the field of Plastic Surgery and has presented his work both nationally and internationally at plastic surgery meetings around the world.
While working as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at St. George’s Hospital he was awarded Honorary Senior Lecturer status at the world famous St. George’s University, London for his passion in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students/doctors. He is an innovator within the field of plastic surgery with the development of Live Surgery teaching program at St. George’s University, London.
